The project titled 'Siksha Se Parvartan' is being implemented in 20 villages of Khuntpani block of West Singhbhum district with the financial support of SPAR, Jharkhand through Edukans Foundation, Neatherland and Development Focus, Bangalore, with a vision to enable marginalised community and children for quality, relevant and affordable primary education between age group 6-14 years and creating livelihood options for the persons age group 15-18 years through imparting vocational training on a need based trades.
The programme objectives are:
To ensure quality quality, relevant and affordable primary education between age group 6-14 years and engage the persons between age group 15-18 years from marginalised community in various activities for earning and livelihood support.
To mobilise community members and other stakeholders such as SHGs, PTAs/MTAs, VECs and youth groups to increase the efficacy of the project.
To establish a good network with Government/Non-Government/Educational Institutes and several functional units to promote issues at large front and seek their supports and cooperation in a meaningful ways.
The project includes three strateiges to meet the target of Universalisation of primary education:
1. Direct Poverty Alleviation
The strategy directly connected with the project beneficiaries,who are in difficult situation. The programme include teacher training, vocational training etc.
2. Civil Society Building
This stratigies ensure the maximum involvement of stakeholders at all levels, for instance self Help groups, parent – teacher associations, Village education committee, community leader, religious leaders and healthly relations with Network organisations.
3. Lobbying and Advocacy
This strategy exclusively includes to avail the quality, relavant , accesible and affordable education.
