Vocational Training on Sewing, Tailoring and Embroidery (NORAD Scheme)

   
  Ensuring livelihood through vocational training under NORAD scheme at Chakradharpur  

Ensuring livelihood through skill enhancment training programme is one of the core intervetions of the organiation since its inception. Under this broader title, the organisation has offered vocational training to BLP family under NORAD–Swawalamban Scheme of the Department of Social welfare, Child Development and Women Welfare, Government of Jharkhand.

Under the umbrell of this scheme, the organisation is offering training programme on readymade garments, embriodery and zari–craft covering 40, 20, 20 beneficaires, repsectively.

The goal of this programme is to empower the disadvanged section of the community, especially adoloscent through skill enhancement training programme to ensure their better livelihood options.

To attain the desired goal, several activities has been taken up:

  1. To improve the socio–economic condition of the target population through providing vocational training;
  2. To build the capacity of unemployed youth towards taking income generation activites;
  3. To Upgrade the knowledge and skills of illiterate youth to prepare them for integrating labour market;
  4. To demostrate the enterprenurial activities and inclucate the sense of leadership quality;
  5. To create an enabling environment for self employment and to check migration through covergnence with income generation activites.
